Starboard Dewey Beach Engagement

These two have crushed many Oranges Crushes at the Starboard, a local beach bar and restaurant. When we were chatting about their engagement session, Lexi mentioned how they loved going there and wasn’t sure if that would be an acceptable engagement session location… but we were so game! The only thing we care about is photographing our couples doing things they love. It instantly makes them more comfortable to be in a familiar place and you can feel it in the images. So, possibly the first ever Starboard Dewey Beach engagement session went down and it was amazing.

Lexi also loves SUP so we wanted to photograph them doing that too. Justin has never tried it but is such a good sport. He stood up on his first try and they both had a blast paddling around the bay together! Lexi said that’s one of her favorite things about him – he tries new things and he’s always up for anything.

This whole session was a real, genuinely fun date night for them. They were on the water, in the water, walking around Dewey then finished up the night having their favorites drinks at the Starboard. I love that this was so casual and fun. The images really feel like them, and that’s what we care about the most. We can’t even tell you how much we enjoyed shooting this for them! The weather was gorgeous, the water was calm, Dewey is always a good time… but the best part was how much joy Lexi and Justin have. They are so happy together and it shows in every interaction!
