Oberod Estate Wedding

Crazy story… we met Greg at a small business event at Delaware Technical Community College like 6-7 years ago. We were both there presenting our businesses to a small group of students. I remember his presentation, sharing about how his business Carvertise was growing. And he remembered us – something about the way we shared our passion for real moments stuck with him all these years. When he got engaged, he told his fiancé they had to have us.

This wedding was even more special because the venue is only available to friends or family of the owners. We have never shot here before and probably never will again, so we were soaking up the gorgeous views. The estate is spectacular and every corner presented something beautiful. The front courtyard was the backdrop for their ceremony. Their hand written vows were incredibly heart warming. I am usually so distracted with shooting that I mostly miss what’s being said, but something Greg said in his vows really resonated with me. He described waking up each morning and as he’s in between wake and sleep, his subconscious would ask, “where’s Molly?” I relate to this with Michael, that reaching out for your spouse in the mornings. There’s something special when your heart just knows they are there.

So the day started pretty sappy – and ended wild. Crowd surfing, slamming frozen cocktails, limbo, wedding guests singing with the band. I’m pretty sure it was everything they wanted!
