Ivy Dewey Beach Wedding
When you look through this blog post, you’re going to wish you were there. We wish we could go back and photograph this day again and again. Claire and Jim know how to throw a party! This might be the most dancing photos we’ve ever included in a wedding blog post. Their Ivy Dewey Beach Wedding goes down as one of the most fun we’ve ever photographed… and we’ve photographed a LOT of fun weddings! They partied well into the night as the moon rose over the bay. You have to scroll to the end and see all the dancing photos! They will make you smile.
As if this wedding couldn’t get any better – we also had the pleasure of flying to Ireland to photograph Claire and Jim’s engagement session last year. We spent the whole day wandering around castles, eating in pubs and exploring the Cliffs of Moher together. Ireland gave us a dramatic night with lots of wind and rain pounding on the rocks below. It was a day we’ll never forget!
Fast forward a few months later to their wedding day in Dewey Beach, Delaware… which was full of laughter and lots of drinking (obviously). Michael and I always hope that the photos we create tell a story. We want them to transport you to a time, place or feeling. Claire and Jim are funny, affectionate and totally in love – so photographing them all day was easy. They gave us a whole bunch of beautiful, real moments to capture. And a whole lot of laughing!
By the end of the night, Claire was handing us drinks and telling us to put our cameras down. That’s just the kind of people they are! They are warm, welcoming and make you laugh. We feel lucky to know them, and even luckier to have shared so many memories with them.
