Jordan and Blake

Jordan and Blake met through their dads, who are good friends. Their two families have always been close. But their relationship turned into more-than-friends a few years ago when they started dating. Throughout the years, their family has woven into this story time and time again. Their dads are good friends, Blake’s sister helped pick out Jordan’s engagement ring and they are currently honeymooning in Greece with Jordan’s brother and new sister-in-law. Family is important to them, and it’s important to us too. Capturing connections between people is our absolute favorite thing. It’s what drives and inspires us. This day was full of “sweet wishes and sweaty kisses” as Jordan put it!

Michael spent the afternoon shooting skeet with the guys. Jordan gave Blake a new gun as a wedding present and he told Michael he loved shooting with it! The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in Blake’s parent’s gorgeous waterfront home on the eastern shore of Maryland. About 400 of their friends and family members celebrated under an enormous tent strung with twinkling lights on the Choptank River. We were blessed with the most gorgeous sunset that turned the water golden in shades of orange and pink. Everyone enjoyed crab cakes (of course) and lots of drinks as they danced the night away… literally. We finally drug our tired bodies out of there around 12:15 and the party was still going strong!

We can’t even tell you how special this wedding was to photograph. We laughed hundreds of times, every single person was warm and welcoming, they were so excited to get married and couldn’t wait to get to the party. We loved working with Julie of A Touch of Jules. She was the most kind, hard working and thoughtful wedding planner. She was so hot from working all day in the sun that she jumped in the pool to cool down! I know all of us wanted to join her! There were so many meaningful, fun little moments all day long. We hope we captured what it felt like to be there.
