I was 9 months pregnant with our daughter when we first met Dayna and Conor for their engagement photos earlier this year. We were deep in quarantine and since Dayna works in a hospital, we postponed their engagement photos several times to keep everyone safe. They were so kind and considerate the whole time and it felt like hanging out with old friends! They asked if we would be open to coming to Connecticut for a backyard wedding at Conor’s mom’s home. We said YES of course and couldn’t wait to spend this day with them.
It was so sentimental for them to get married in Conor’s childhood home. The backyard was perfectly decorated by their families. Every little touch was thoughtful, such a reflection of how kind they are. There was a lot stacked against them… they met in college then dated long distance for 3 years before finally living in the same town. And then all their wedding plans changed last minute due to COVID. But every piece of the puzzle led them to this day. They were married under a huge tree with deep roots – a symbol of their love story.
It was such a joy to share this with them. I’ll never forget Conor’s mom putting Michael and I by the outdoor fireplace with steak dinner and champagne. She told us to take a break and enjoy the night for a little while. It was honestly our first “date” since we had our baby!
Congratulations you two!
