There is something special about December weddings… twinkle lights shining, crisp winter air, the magic of Christmas and warm scents like gingerbread and pine. Michael and I had a winter wedding ourselves a few years ago! They are so cozy and romantic.
Lauren and Tim had the most beautiful day that was such a blast! We loved adventuring through waterfalls with them for their engagement session this summer and knew their wedding would be perfect. Fresh garland decorated the tables, Lauren wore the most gorgeous and flowy Maggie Sottero gown, they gave their guests custom mugs that are perfect for enjoying around the campfire, and every single wedding guest was fun and hilarious on the dance floor. We found ourselves laughing throughout the whole day! Their friends were THE BEST. The dance floor was so fun to watch. The song reqests were flowing all night, along with dollar bills thrown around and a whole bunch of dancing.
Michael and I have been dying to shoot at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club for years now, and finally had the chance! The venue is gorgeous with it’s waterfront view overlooking the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Lauren and Tim’s wedding was in the Tavern Ballroom which has beautiful wood tones and modern light fixtures.
Despite all the pretty things that were fun for us to capture, the best part of the whole day were the smiles that never left Lauren and Tim’s faces. They were just SO happy! Throughout the night, Tim would wrap his arms tightly around Lauren and they would both laugh. It was the sweetest. They’re enjoying a honeymoon in Paris right now, the most romantic place on earth. Congraulations you two!
