1 Cullen Street Dewey Beach Wedding
Garrett and Jessica wanted this to be a weekend long celebration of great food, lots of drinks and a chance for everyone they love to hang out together in a huge beach house. Their 1 Cullen Street Dewey Beach wedding was perfect. It was casual, laid back, fun, relaxing and such a good time. We photographed their rehearsal dinner the night before. They had a taco truck and a bonfire on the beach at night under the stars! Everyone spent the night at the house then woke up the next morning in their pajamas with mimosas in hand.
It was calling for rain all week but it only rained for a few minutes in the afternoon. They were able to have everything they wanted – a beach ceremony and the backyard filled with dancing for their reception! The food was perfect for them too – casual and delicious food stations with favorites like short rib sliders, a taco bar and gourmet ice cream sandwiches.
Our main goal when people look at our wedding images is to feel like you’re right there in the moment. We want you to feel like you’re sitting in bed with the bridesmaids laughing, hear the joy in their vows during the ceremony, feel every tight hug, every drink held high in the air for a toast. We hope Garrett and Jessica look at these images and relive exactly what this day felt like… because it was one of the best days ever. It was everything we think weddings should be – not fussy, fancy or stressful. Just a whole bunch of joy.
These two have been together for 10 years. They have weathered so many storms together, including losing Garrett’s mom only a few years ago. They have been family for a long time now, but it was special for everyone to witness them make it official. Jessica is one of those people you just love to be around. She’s silly and funny. Garrett sums it up best in his letter to her before the wedding, “I may never understand you, but I love you.”
