Marci and Mark are a special couple. Marci has been a bridesmaid in two weddings we have photographed – both of her sister’s weddings! It was such a joy for us to see their family again to photograph the final wedding of all 3 sisters. I can’t put into words how much we love and treasure this group of people. We will never forget sharing such special days with them over the years, and we know there are still more memories to come!
They had a very small wedding with only 11 family members, so it couldn’t have been a more easy and laid back day. Both of them were so cool about everything – they just wanted to get married and not make a big fuss about it. The biggest thing Michael and I care about is real moments. We love hugs, laughter, meaningful glances between people… and this day was full of that! One of my favorite moments was when Marci’s grandmother saw her in her dress for the first time. It wasn’t planned. She just happened to be walking down the hallway and they hugged with tears in their eyes.
After walking down the aisle in Mark’s childhood church, the 4 of us drove to historic New Castle, Delaware. Since the small, intimate wedding was over at that point, we had way more time than usual for their portraits. We took our time walking around and enjoying the day together. The cobblestone streets and waterfront pathway were perfect! These two have such an easy love brought on after many years together. It was a joy to photograph! The champagne was the best ending to a fun day and we couldn’t be happier for them!
