Heaven Sent Farms Pittsburgh Wedding

What does a church, farm, casino and Waffle House have in common?

What does a church, farm, casino and Waffle House have in common? Lexi and Justin’s incredible wedding day! We didn’t think it could get any better than their engagement session in Dewey Beach earlier this year. But their Heaven Sent Farms Pittsburgh wedding was a thousand times better and one of our favorites ever!

Lexi grew up in the church where they were married. Her father is the priest, so Lexi’s childhood was spent in the home right next door and she went to church several times a week. She has seen countless weddings happen within those special walls… and now it was her turn! There were several moments during the beautiful and reverent ceremony where Lexi would just close her eyes and let it all soak in. She had dreamt of that moment for years. Her father, uncles and grandfather all participated in the ceremony. Lexi and Justin had their hands tied together, crowns placed on their heads and walked around the table three times. The joy on their faces brought tears to my eyes!

This wedding was full of everything we love photographing – laughter, joy, happy tears, hugs, dancing, quirky moments and meaningful glances. We didn’t interfere at all and just let the day unfold in front of us. Everyone was naturally affectionate and happy so we had countless moments to capture the whole night. The bridesmaids played Heads Up while getting ready, there were lots of happy tears during the ceremony, a Marine sword arch with birdseed flying, liquor passed around from the trunk of a car, people touching the electric fence, little kids holding out cookies, Lexi and Justin snuck outside to make out and then danced on a table while they drank from little boots. There were lap dances, shots, shotgunning beers, people peeing outside in the grass… and then just the four of us ended up at Waffle House at midnight. It was FUN!

But truly – the very best part of all was watching them start their new lives together. They are SO in love and couldn’t be more perfect for each other! I’ve never seen a bride so excited to become a wife. Lexi wore as much “Mrs.” gear as possible and couldn’t stop smiling! In her letter to Justin, she said, “I would wait another 30 years if it meant I got to be with you.” And my favorite line of all was from Justin’s letter to Lexi:

“I love you for who you are – no matter how much sand is in our bed or how many weeks you go without washing your hair.”

You guys – thank you for everything. Thank you for trusting us and letting us into your lives. These photos are what they are because of you, not because of us. Every moment you see here is real. We hope that it’s as real for you now as it was for you then, and every time you look at them you remember this indescribable joy. We love you!
