Big Chill Beach Club Bethany Wedding

This is a special one for us. We have a lot of history with these two! We shot their Washington DC engagement session in 2019. During the pandemic, their wedding was rescheduled many times and finally postponed. We felt awful for them but they were so kind and understanding about everything. They decided to get married anyway, on their original wedding date in 2020, and have a big party later when it was safe. In May 2020, Michael photographed their private wedding ceremony with just the three of them and their Rabbi on facetime. I was 9 months pregnant with our daughter and we were all nervous but excited about the future.

Now it’s June 2022. Since then, we’ve both had babies and there are now two new humans that exist in this beautiful and complicated world. It feels symbolic that our daughter just turned two and now we FINALLY got to photograph their wedding and meet their son. A lot can happen in two years!

This day was everything they wanted it to be. The weather was absolutely perfect – a cool breeze off the water with bright sunny skies and the most beautiful ocean view. We all joked that after everything that happened, these two deserved good weather at least. They had cocktails with their guests, then a short vow renewal ceremony followed by the big party of their dreams. We are so happy for them and can’t wait to connect again in the years to come!
